"Blood" album of the mounth July 2010 on Elektrauma.de !

And when the night falls and the heat is gone, there is time for sacrifice the dance. An unreined dance, concussing the body and releasing endorphins. To reach this highest feeling of trance, it needs far more than only bam-bam. The tracks have to be hypnotic, cut theirselves deep into the brain, have to sound striking... but not too intellectual and they may not suggest the feeling to be created on the drawing-board. Or, easier: The music has to sound like Fractional's 'Blood'.
What the Belgian project presents with its new longplayer is an auditive storm, yes, a tornado for ones ears. Sounds 'Water' as an opener a little restrained though, the bustling breakbeats already foretell the enormous power of these electronic diamonds. Then the title track, coming with a felitous video, is unfolding its whole power. Stylized guitars, a flitting rhythm, and cool, ominous electronic behind - the right soundtrack for strobelights and artificial smoke. The jungle-influences fresh up the tracks - Pierre Remy uses many tricks to design a complex album. So 'Wo' is a surprising simple song at first, with an unexpected four-four beat underneath, but it holds a finesse of incredible amount in its ascending arrangement. In the sequel Remy elicits really unexpected sounds out of his computers and sequencers. So the sounds in 'Elephant's Dance' drone a little, but they still fit perfectly in the whole arrangement. The musician inserts stops, steers the tracks in a unforeseen direction, stays danceable but also comes very quiet and contemplative like in 'Thear' and 'Niv'. And before you can realize the 13 tracks are already over. Somewhere between chill and thrill, never boring nor facile: 'Blood' units the best from heart and brain. A diamond of electronic music. www.elektrauma.de
